Thank you for visiting Joon’s Traveling Violin Studio. Are you looking for in-home violin lessons?

I currently provide violin lessons in Ashburn, VA (Brambleton, Loudoun Valley areas) to all ages in the comfort of your home.
|

I also give violin lessons in Aldie, VA (Lenah Mill, Hartland and Willowsford areas).
|

I have been a traveling violin teacher for over 10 years. I like to focus on beginning to intermediate level students. I have been playing the violin for over 25 years under the direction of Mimi Rosenberg (Julliard School of Music) and Brian Johnson of the National Symphony Orchestra.

Some books I like to use are Suzuki, Kreutzer, Wolfahrt, amongst others. I also can teach from books used by area schools too – Essential Elements, All for Strings, etc. I am a member of the Suzuki Association of the Greater Washington Area.

Northern Virginia has been my home during my entire childhood years. I have been concertmaster of the Thomas Jefferson H.S. for Science and Technology Symphonic Orchestra and have played in the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra for many years. During my college years I have been a soloist and concertmaster in the Korea University Medical Orchestra (KUMO) – I am also on the board of directors at KUMO. I play in various functions (ie. weddings and parties) and enjoy playing in chamber music. I am also an active participant in the church orchestra and worship band at ODPC.
.

Although I am classically trained, I have expanded to the electric realm and able to provide electric violin lessons as well.
Playing the violin has always been my passion and I look forward in teaching those who have the same fervor in music.
